March 2021 bullet journal spread (plan with me!)

The cover page - inspo from Pinterest

March 2, 2021

Happy March friends!! πŸ’šπŸ€πŸŒΏ- love the way these few pages turned out. I'm learning to slowly accept that life isn't that serious, perfection is overrated, and to just have fun on this journey. Although I began bullet journalling in 2018, I never fully embraced the entire creative aspect. I would make my monthly calendar with minimal decorations/doodles, and then just use my Leuchtturm as a journal. Nothing wrong with that but I used to be so turned off to the idea of even starting to be more creative and use more colours because I thought my work wouldn't be as good as all the Pinterest inspiration, so I never even bothered.

Recently, I've been more creative with posting on Instagram, making Youtube videos and posting on here. For March, I decided to just YOLO it and try my best and honestly - I'm so amazed. Using colour, doodling and trying something different was SO fun and the hours passed before I even realized it.

While colouring in the pages, I kept thinking to myself, "wow, life really isn't that serious" and "perfection is overrated". I used to want to have everything perfect, otherwise it wouldn't be good enough, but if we keep striving for perfection, I do believe that we suppress our creativity and after getting this side of me back after so long, I want it to flourish.

Even if you think your art might be "ugly", who cares? If it brings you joy, then do it.

Sending you lots of love, light and extra creativity!
